Jack Plank Tells Tales - a 5th Grade Book

In this book, Jack Plank works as a pirate cook. His crew mates could not not afford to keep him, so they leave him on a nearby inhabited island with a bag of gold florins. He looks around for a temporary home and goes to one. He looks for jobs and tells stories about why he can't do them.
Jack Plank Tells Tales is a great book worth reading if you like fiction. It has a great display of imagination. I rate it three stars.

The Corinth Library, one of the Johnson County Libraries (in Kansas) is featuring a book reading of Jack Plank Tells Tales on June 8, 2010.

Sisters Grimm 7: The Inside Story

In Sisters Grimm 7: The Inside Story, Sabrina and Daphne are inside The Book of Everafter, a book that allows you go inside fairy tales and interact with the characters. They are searching for their baby brother, who has been captured by an evil fairy tale character. This certain character is intent on getting inside their brother's body to get out of a town that has magical boundaries so, it prevents him from escaping. I like this book because it is fun to read and adventurous, (I personally prefer Fiction books) and it is exciting around every corner.

G. Stilton #1: Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye (Third Grade Book)

In Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye, Thea, Geronimo Stilton's sister, finds a treasure map that shows something about an emerald eye. Of course, Thea thinks it's an emerald that looks like an eye. She asks Geronimo to meet her at The Mouse House,a cheesy restaurant. (Of course they went there! They're mice!) They talked about it. She wanted to bring Geronimo along to the island where they were going. Thea had an idea to bring Trap, their cousin, (Who Thea thought was a master sailor)along on the trip.

I rate this book three and one half stars.

"Tunnels" is about a boy named Will who has a strange passion for digging along with his father, Dr. Burrows, who owns a museum crammed with strange old things. Will and Dr. Burrows find strange underground chambers like churches and never tell each other. Then Dr. Burrows disappears. But Will is hot on his trail, finding out things his father had never told him. Then he stumbles upon a subterranean colony of strange albino humans. He is thrown in jail and finds out his father had willingly gone down to the Deeps, a large area of confusing tunnels with strange creatures that the Colonists speak of with dread.

I rate this book with four stars.
